Our Journey and Future Vision
Founded in the early 20th century and officially declared a Town Council in 1993, Siteki has evolved into a strategic urban hub in the Lubombo region. With a clear focus on sustainable development, inclusive governance, and improved service delivery, Siteki Town Council is committed to reshaping the town into an eco-friendly, investor-attractive, and people-centred municipality. The Integrated Development Plan (2024–2029) guides our path to becoming a SMART town that delivers modern infrastructure, empowered communities, and dynamic economic opportunities.
Over the past five years, the Council has made significant strides in improving infrastructure, expanding local economic activity, and modernizing governance systems. From achieving 100% completion of its Town Planning Scheme, to installing solar streetlights and constructing new roads, Siteki continues to move toward its vision with measurable success. With over E209 million budgeted for development over the next 5 years, we are poised to unlock Siteki’s full potential.
