FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SITEKI, ESWATINI – The Siteki Town Council is proud to announce that it is nearing the completion of a major revitalisation project at Siteki Park. Currently 80% complete, this initiative is designed to transform the park into a premier inclusive, recreational, and wellness-focused hub for residents and visitors alike.
This project reflects the Council’s broader commitment to enhancing public amenities and providing modern facilities that cater to all age groups. Central to this upgrade is the development of a 390-metre dedicated jogging trail. This secure environment allows community members to exercise away from the hazards of public roads.

Beyond the track, the Council is installing a variety of outdoor gym equipment featuring stations for cardiovascular training, strength building, and flexibility. These features are intended to complement the park’s existing children’s play area, creating a balanced space for both leisure and fitness.
”The goal is to create an inclusive space where community members can engage in physical activity free of charge,” stated Ms. Sthembile Simelane, Chief Executive Officer of the Siteki Town Council. “By providing this facility, we aim to combat rising obesity rates and promote overall well-being within our community.”
The upgraded Siteki Park is designed to be a “people-centred” space, serving families, seniors, and fitness enthusiasts. Once finished, it will stand as a testament to the Council’s vision of a vibrant and healthy Siteki. Community members using the accessible pathways within the revitalised public space.
